NYO Alumni Chamber Orchestra

  • Carnegie Hall 154 West 57th Street New York, NY, 10019 United States (map)

The NYO-USA Alumni Chamber Orchestra (NACO) returns to the Resnick Education Wing following an auspicious debut in May 2025. Its program offers three contrasting works: six short folk dances depicted through Bartok’s distinctive lens; the soulful Adagietto from Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, and Tchaikovsky’s quintessential Serenade for Strings. The musicians of NACO are alumni of Carnegie Hall’s national youth ensembles who have remained active players while primarily pursuing careers outside of music. Having had advanced musical training and performance experience following their participation in NYO-USA and/or NYO2, they are now working in a range of fields including law, finance, technology, medicine, consulting, entrepreneurship, and research/scholarship.
